Shahen Khatchatrian

SHAHEN KHACHADOURIAN was born in 1934 in Aleppo.  In 1946, his family moved to Soviet Armenia. Khachadourian finished the Repin Institute of Arts. In 1967 Martiros Saria nappointed Khachadouran as the head of his museum. He directed the Martiros Sarian Museum for over 40 years. In 1991, Khachadourian also was appointed the head of the National Gallery of Armenia. He enriched the gallery's collection with about 500 pieces purchased and collected from different countries and from the Armenian Diaspora. He is one of the top-level art historians of Armenia.

ՇԱՀԷՆ ԽԱՉԱՏՈՒՐԵԱՆը ծնած է 1934-ին Հալէպ։ 1946-ին կը հայրենադարձէ։ 1965-ին կ'աւարտէ Լենինգրադի գեղանկարչութեան, քանդակագործութեան և ճարտարապետութեան ինստիտուտը։ 1959-էն ի վեր կ'աշխատի Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահին մէջ, տնօրէն ըլլալով 1991-2003: Միաժամանակ տնօրինած է  Մարտիրոս Սարեանի տուն-թանգարանը 1967-2004, իսկ 2004-էն ի վեր՝ փոխտնօրէն: 1987-էն եղած է Մշակոյթի հայկական ֆոնդի փոխնախագահ։
