The Autonomous Republic of Nakhijevan, which is under the governancy of Azerbaijan, occupies the following parts of Historical Armenia such as Goghtn and Nakhichavan provinces in Vaspurakan, Ernjak and Chahuk-Shahaponk provinces in Syunik and Sharur province in Ayrarat. Patkeratsuyts-map of monuments-makes use of the historical names of the sites. Parallel to the names to the monuments the modern names are also given in the brackets. The photographs of the monuments were taken by the author from 1970-1987.
