Lyudmilla Stepanian

Lyudmilla Stepanian was born in Tbilisi, the capital of the Soviet republic of Georgia. In 1979, she graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts and Drama in Yerevan, Armenia. For many years, she worked as an actress in theater, radio and television. She also directed several youth drama groups in Armenia, and later at the Hovnanian School in New Jersey. She has been residing in the United States for the past sixteen years. Desiring to know her new country better, she decided to go back to school and became a student at Parsons School of Design. Lyudmilla has written several theatrical comedies for one-man shows, as well as a full length play entitled "Dream and Reality" and a novel, "White Swans Appear Once a Decade". She is a distinguished member of the Washington, DC-based International Society of Poets. She says, "In my writings, I discover all of the dimensions of love, concerning man and woman, children, animals, nature and the Creator as well.
