Description

Based partly on oral interviews, compiled and written by Janet Samuelian in Los Angeles, California in 1988. Kero Antoyan is that artistic mind and heart which, in a whole being, unifies the heroism of the past with the daring of the present, the tears of yesterday with the mirth of today, the destroyed but unforgotten hearth of yesteryear with the triumphal emergence of today's Armenian fatherland. His canvases depict a balance of wild extremes, the protest of the soul, creative flights of fantasy, a drive to explore the mind, and the satisfaction of the inquiring spirit. These lofty tendencies embody the concepts of the cult of nature, the eternity of life, and humanism and optimism.
