H. F. B. Lynch

H.F.B. Lynch was born in London on April 18, 1862, of Irish parentage. Besides his study of law, he became noted as a writer, a geographer, a politician, and a traveler, with a keen interest in Armenia. He traveled through historic Armenia on two separate occasions—in 1893 and 1898. During his second journey he was accompanied by F. Oswald with whom he collaborated in producing a detailed map of historic Armenia and its neighbors. In 1906 he was elected to serve as a member of the British Parliament. He died in London on November 24, 1913.
