"Saroyan: His Heart In The Highlands" is a collection of mostly never-before-published photos of William Saroyan in his element. This 128-page, 9" x 13" black-and-white album is an ideal for your coffee table, available to enjoy both the artistry of the photographer and the personality of the author. The book is divided into eight different sections exploring the Saroyan’s emotions, his interactions with colleagues and ordinary people, his background in culture and agriculture, and his abiding humanitarianism. The author’s nephew, the writer and director Hank Saroyan, has graciously provided a foreword to the album. The mostly never-before-published 100 black and white documentary style pictures of William Saroyan were taken by the award-winning photographer Boghos Boghossian during Saroyan's last two visits to Armenia in 1976 and 1978. The photographs are embellished by Saroyan's own words, and further supplemented by background information on the context of certain photos. Boghossian's camera tirelessy captured the many dimensions of Saroyan's spirit and immortalized unique moments of his life.
