Aline Ohanesian

Aline Ohanesian was born in Kuwait and immigrated to Southern California at the age of three. She has a bachelors degree from UCLA and a Masters in History from UC Irvine. Orhan's Inheritance, her first novel, was a finalist for the prestigious PEN Bellwether Award for Socially Engaged Fiction and the Glimmer Train Award for Best New Writers. It received a Starred Kirkus Review. The book was Amazon's featured debut of the month & the best books of the month for April 2015. The American Booksellers Association selected Orhan's Inheritance as the #1 Indie Pick for April 2015. More recently, Branes & Noble has selected Ohanesian as one of the "Discover Great New Writers" Picks for Summer of 2015. Orhan's Inheritance is an International bestseller and currently being translated into 12 languages, including Armenian. Aline lives and writes in San Juan Capistrano, CA with her husband and two young sons. She is a proud and active member of the Orange County Armenian community.
