Some of the essays and papers written by Archbishop Mesrob Ashjian during his years of service to the Armenian Church have been brought together in this volume which is of value to both specialists and laymen interested in the history of the Armenian Church. Most of the essays included deal with theological subjects or church history. Included also are essays from a wide spectrum of interests. The first part of the volume includes
essays related to church doctrine and teaching while the second half is devoted to historical studies. Many of the essays were written during Archbishop Ashjian's years as a student at the Princeton Theological Seminary.
