Ann Stephanian Kale was born in Detroit and lived in Birmingham, Michigan, until she and her late husband, John, retired to Bradenton, Florida, in 1988. The author lives there now with her West Highland Terrier, Regis. In addition to being an author, she is a well-known local artist and substitute teacher. She holds an Associate Degree in Arts and is presently attending classes at the University of South Florida. Kale has four grown children and six grandchildren. At present she is working on her second book for children. Besides her art work and writing, her hobbies are golf, bridge and mystery novels.
