The Battle of Holy Apostle's Monastery is an epic account of the exploits of a small group of Armenian revolutionaries against the regime of Sultan Abdul Hamid II. It is an account of a battle, led by Antranig Ozanian — more popularly known as General Antranig or Antranig Pasha - at Sourp Arakelots Monastery (Holy Apostles' Monastery) near the town of Moush in 1901. Set in the aftermath of the Hamidian massacres of 1895^96 this account gives rare insights into the world of Armenian guerilla fighters (fedayees) and explains their enduring legacy. This work is an original translation and includes additional maps and diagrams.
