 
| Karine Hovhannisyan |
| Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1966, kanunist Karine Hovhannisyan is a graduate of Tigran Chukhadjyan and Arno Babadjanyan Music Schools. A winner of the Sayat Nova Competition, Ms. Hovhannisyan is now on the faculty of the Komitas State Conservatory and a member of the Armenian State Dance Ensemble. She is a member of the Shoghaken Ensemble having performed with the group at Theatre de la Ville in Paris, the “White Nights Festival” in St. Petersburg, Russia, the Rudolstadt Festival in Germany and a major US tour with performances in Carnegie Hall, The Kimmell Center, Cornell University, Dartmouth, Cleveland Museum of Art, JFK Center for the Performing Arts, Los Angeles Skirball Museum and UC Berkeley. |
